You’re never too old to explore your creative side! Everyone has one! Sometimes we just have to search for it. And the fact is that using your brain creatively really is good for you! By learning new things, you generate new brain cells and promote well-being.

For that reason, several months ago the Wayne Senior Center joined the Creative Arts and Aging Network. Through a grant from the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts and the MetLife Foundation, together with our partners at Main Line Art Center, the Community Arts Center and the Havertown Center, we are offering a 12 week “Creative Journey” to enhance participants’ self-discovery and personal growth by sharing wisdom and stories through various art forms. The program will have an autobiographical focus, as students explore personal identity through selected visual art and movement activities. We are excited to bring you two highly experienced, professional teaching artists, who will work with each student to achieve new understanding of art expression. The class will culminate with a group performance for family and friends.
Dates to be announced.
